The International Business Board
The International Business Board (IBB) is a student organization at the University of South Florida dedicated to international business. The IBB is designed to provide transition and experience from the classroom to the field for students at the undergraduate and graduate level (MBA). We organize and host weekly international business lecture series where renowned speakers from the business community share their knowledge of and experience in different international business aspects with our members. We are strategically aligned with community organizations such as the Tampa Bay International Business Council (TBIBC), Organization of Women in International Trade (OWIT), and United Nations Association (UNA), World Trade Center (WTO), and the Tampa Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the IBB promotes study abroad programs, and through its listserv, it distributes information about exchange programs, internship opportunities and upcoming events of Tampa Bay area international business organizations. Best of all, membership is free!
We would like to invite you to attend our meetings held on Mondays from 5:00-5:50 P.M. in BSN 225 (New Business Wing).
Eileen Rodriguez is the organization advisor. Eileen serves as Associate Director, International Trade Specialist, and Hispanic Community Liaison for the Small Business Development Center at the University of South Florida. Click the link to find out more about Eileen Rodriguez and the SBDC.
The IBB is designed to provide students with the knowledge, perspective, skills and experience necessary for the preparation of a successful career in international business.
Based on the various levels of involvement in international business issues by students, most will need some level of exposure to the challenges and opportunities that this field presents.
The IBB facilitates:
- Interaction among students interested in international business
- Information about career opportunities
- Access to international business functions and networking with guest speakers
- Orientation and assistance for international students in the College of Business Administration.
