Staff Awards

The University recognized staff members from the College of Business several times over the past year, with two staff members receiving “Quiet Quality” awards and a long-time employee earning the University’s top staff award, the Gabor Award.

Wendy Jennings, office manager in the marketing department, and Gloria Lehman, receptionist, who greets guests in the Dean’s Office, both received Quiet Quality awards for their service and professionalism.  The Quiet Quality award recognizes conscientious, self-directed staff displaying team-oriented, positive attitudes on the job.  Congratulations!
Congratulations are also extended to the administrative assistant Diane Striepling, who was recognized with the 2006 Gabor Award in May.  The University's Outstanding Staff Awards program recognized 35 individual staff members from all areas of service, with just two employees chosen for the Gabor Award, recognizing excellent performance that demonstrates support of the overall values of the university.   For 17 years, Striepling has served as an administrative assistant, working with five successive deans over the years.  She handles a variety of tasks for the College, knows processes inside and out, focuses on details, strives for accuracy, and makes sure deadlines are met.  Her service to the students, staff, faculty and alumni of the College is commendable.
