30 Under 30 - The College of Business is proud to recognize three
University of South Florida business school graduates
included in the prestigious “30 Under 30” roster. Presented
by Tampa Bay Business Journal, the list included Albert Gibbs II,
of PMSI; Andrea A. Gonzmart
of the Columbia Restaurant; Lan Ha
of the Kaleisia Tea Lounge. Also earning a spot on the list is
our colleague, Daniel James
Scott, an
employee of the USF Small Business Development Center.
Michael
Houllis made his 15-year dream a reality launching
“It’s Greek To Me Foods,” a company that sells canned Greek
soup. The food business became his passion after graduating
from the USF’s College of Business.
Matt Spoor
has been promoted to
interim city manager of Safety Harbor City. He was formerly
the assistant city manager as well as the city’s leisure
services director. Spoor earned his Master's degree in
business administration from USF.
Diana Allan
has joined the Gulf Coast Museum of Art as director of
development. She will be responsible for the museum's annual
benefit event, grant writing, sponsorship opportunities and
overall management of the development department.
She earned a degree in marketing
from USF.
Rear Admiral Gerald Woolever (USCG-Ret.) has been named senior executive account manager
for the Department of Homeland Security Programs’ business
area of Harris Government Communications Systems. In this
new position, Woolever will be the company's primary
interface to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and
is responsible for building customer relationships,
identifying development opportunities, and supporting
related programs and pursuits. Woolever has an MBA from the University of
South Florida.
Aaron Bates
has been hired by the Lakeland Area Chamber of Commerce as
vice president of communications. Bates currently attends USF and will
graduate with a degree in marketing and a minor in finance.
Olivia Turner
is now the lifestyle
director for BridgeWater, Lakeland. She was formerly an
account executive with Title Clearinghouse and earned a
Bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of South
Florida.
Stephanie
Goforth has been appointed to the USF St. Petersburg
campus board. She is a senior vice president and wealth
strategist manager for the west coast of Florida for
Northern Trust and manages all facets of the region’s trust
sales activities. Goforth earned a Bachelor’s degree in business management from USF.
Dr. Larry Antonucci, an
obstetrician-gynecologist and co-founder of Physicians
Primary Care of Southwest Florida, is the new chief
administrative officer for Cape Coral Hospital. He will
continue to serve as medical director for the Cape and Lee
Memorial Health System Obstetric Services, but will
discontinue his OB-GYN practice when he begins his new
administrative duties with Cape Coral Hospital. Antonucci
earned a Master's of Business
Administration from USF.
Steve Dewsnap
is the new chief information
officer at Mace
Security International, Inc. where he will provide
leadership and strategic planning in information technology
systems and related controls. Dewsnap will work closely with
the company's accounting and finance staff to enhance
current reporting systems and controls. He has approximately
18 years of experience in accounting and IT management
including software implementation, information system audits
and business development. Dewsnap
received a BA in finance from USF.
Mark Manitz
has been appointed by BankAtlantic as the chief retail
banking executive on its executive management committee
where he will be responsible for overseeing
BankAtlantic’s store network, which now includes over 100
stores throughout the State of Florida. Manitz has 25 years
experience in banking, most recently as president and CEO of
Bank of Florida, Southeast. He
earned his Masters of Business Administration in 1984 from
USF.
Nancy Comingore has been promoted to branch manager
of the People’s Community Bank’s Venice office. Comingore
has more than 16 years of banking experience and an MBA from USF.
Frank Muller-Karger has
been appointed dean of the School of Marine Sciences and
Technology at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He
graduated from USF in 2001 with a Master's of Science in
management.
Misty Spencer has joined
Ideal Image Development Corporation (IIDC) as the Director
of Corporate Centers. In this position, she is responsible
for overseeing operations for all corporate centers
including Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Charlotte, NC, four
centers in St. Louis and the soon-to-open centers in
Milwaukee. Spencer obtained a Bachelor's degree in business
administration from USF. |
