Alumni Reception
Kicks Off 50th Anniversary |
|
The College of
Business Administration hosted its first Alumni Reception and Open
House in the new Graduate Education Wing in early January, co-hosted
by the USF Alumni Association and sponsored by the Cherry Bekaert
Holland CPA firm. More than 50 alumni came to see the new building
(opened in March 2005) and to help kick-off the 50th
anniversary celebration year for both the College and the
University.
|
|
The event was also an opportunity for
alumni to network, catch up on the College’s latest achievements and
happenings, and to say farewell to Dean Robert L. Anderson, who will
retire this summer after serving more than 35 years with the
College, including ten years as Dean.

“Rocky the Bull” made a special guest
appearance, and the USF Bookstore was on hand with dozens of
commemorative items on display. Guests participated in tours of the
new building and a prize drawing for gift baskets from COBA and the
USF Alumni Association.
“I was delighted to see so many alumni
come back and reconnect with their College, and enjoy seeing our new
space – which is quite a departure from the ‘bunker,’” said Dean
Anderson. “Alumni participation has a great impact on the future
success of the College.” |
