Jo-Ann Alessandrini is the New Assistant
Dean-Development at USF's College of Business

Jo-Ann Alessandrini has been appointed the new assistant dean of development in University of South Florida’s College of Business. Alessandrini most recently held the positions of interim vice president for university advancement and CEO of the USF Foundation in which she worked with USF academic and administrative leaders, USF Foundation Board members, donors and volunteers, and the university advancement staff in preparation for USF’s next campaign.
 

In 1995, Alessandrini was appointed as director of development for the College of Engineering as USF prepared for its second campaign ($257 million).  She left the College of Engineering in 2000 to assume the role of assistant vice president for constituent development managing all college, campus and unit fundraising.  In 2002, she was appointed associate vice president of university development with management responsibility for central operations and leadership for University fundraising.
 

Alessandrini received her undergraduate degree from Notre Dame College and her master’s degree from the University of South Florida.  Before relocating to Florida, she served 14 years in the university advancement field at private and public colleges/universities in New England.
