Corporate Menetor Program
Being the first to do anything in life is always an overwhelming task knowing that those who follow are depending on you to pave the path for their success. To be the first, you will have to conquer the fear of taking a risk in order to lay hold of the opportunity. The College of Business at the University of South Florida has partnered with the city of Tampa's finest executives, many of whom are volunteers, to create a program that will guide first generation students.

Volunteers in the Corporate Mentor Program are business professionals who provide guidance and opportunities for these first generation Bulls, such as the opportunity to shadow an executive at a Chamber of Commerce meeting, or the chance to tag along on a corporate presentation. Words like encourager, coach, advisor, role model, and friend describe these junior and senior level executives.

Mentors

  • provide support and encouragement from time-to-time
  • Provide access to key organizational or professional circles
  • demonstrate qualities successful business leaders possess
  • help students clarify goals and enjoy seeing students reach them
