Welcome to the web site of the Department of Management and
Organization. In this department we examine the broad field of organization
studies and their application to the leadership of business and not-for-profit
organizations.
Our participation in academic programs is always constructed
to help prepare students for life in general and careers in particular.
At the undergraduate level our major prepares students for entry level
positions in management, supervision, human resources, administration,
and entrepreneurship. The Management and Organization minor can also
be combined with other minors in the College to create the General Business
major.
At the masters level, we contribute heavily to two programs:
the Master of Business Administration and or specialized Graduate Leadership
Program - the Master of Science in Management: Leadership and Organizational
Effectiveness. The content of the courses offered in these programs is
intended to help develop professional leadership skills in our students.
The Ph.D. degree is designed to prepare graduates for scholarly careers
as university professors.
Throughout our coursework there is a consistent emphasis
on ethics and virtue. The department strongly believes that leadership
is not just a skill - it is also an attitude. We are deeply committed
to our responsibility to help contribute positively to the next generation
of leaders.
If I can answer any questions or provide any assistance,
please feel free to contact me.
