Christopher R. Thomas
Associate Professor and Exide Professor of Sustainable Enterprise
Christopher Thomas is an associate professor in the Department of Economics in the College of Business Administration at the University of South Florida. He holds one of two Exide Professorships of Sustainable Enterprise in the College of Business Administration. Dr. Thomas’ areas of research interest include industrial organization, regulation, antitrust policy, sustainable enterprise, and managerial economics. He has published numerous articles in academic research journals and coauthors a textbook in managerial economics, which is now in its eighth edition in English and second edition in Chinese. He teaches managerial economics, business strategy, government regulation and antitrust, and business and the environment and has won numerous awards for teaching. Dr. Thomas received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Texas A&M University. He worked as an energy economist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory before coming to University of South Florida in 1982.
