Brad Schafer
Assistant Professor
Dr. Schafer has published in various journals including the Issues in Accounting Education, AIS Educator Journal, Executive’s Tax & Management Report, and Advances in Accounting Behavioral Research. He won a “Best Paper” award at the 2006 AIS Educator Conference, sponsored by the IMA. Dr. Schafer has served as a reviewer, discussant and presenter of research at many research conferences, and he has served on three doctoral dissertation committees. Dr. Schafer has over 10 years of teaching experience in addition to previously owning two businesses and working in public accounting at Deloitte. He is a member of American Accounting Association, Beta Alpha Psi, and Beta Gamma Sigma. He received the Beta Alpha Psi, “Outstanding Faculty Support Award” in 2008, and his current teaching assignments include: Auditing I, AIS, Auditing Seminar (Ph.D. level), and the Integrative Seminar (Macc Capstone) course.
