Jennifer Kahle Schafer
Assistant Professor
and
Grant Thornton Faculty Fellow

Jennifer Kahle Schafer is an Assistant Professor in the School of Accountancy.  Dr. Schafer was named the Grant Thornton Faculty Fellow in 2007. Her research interests are related to judgment and decision making behavior in accounting. She has published in The Journal of the American Taxation Association, Behavioral Research in Accounting, and Issues in Accounting Education among others.  A CPA in the state of Florida, she is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Taxation Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dr. Schafer received her Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina. Prior to obtaining her doctorate, she served as a tax manager for KPMG LLP, where she performed tax compliance and consulting services.  Jennifer is currently teaching Taxation of Business Entities and recently received the 2008 Outstanding Professor Award.
